Not just seeing the world differently — understanding how decisions are made when they truly matter.

A full day. A real aircraft. One guest.

By request only.

Pilot for a Day Experience

The Morning

We start slowly. Specialty coffee, a proper conversation, and then we step into the mindset of a pilot together.

The Planning

Weather checks, NOTAMs, airspace — we go through everything together. Then we file the flight plan. The moment an idea becomes a commitment.

Airfield

We take the aircraft out of the hangar. Fuel, oil, contamination checks, full walkaround. You'll understand every decision before we ever leave the ground.

At altitude, over the Carpathians, I hand controls to you. The aircraft responds to your inputs. The mountains below are real. This is the moment most people never forget.

You Have the Controls

Two People. One Aircraft. No Audience.

This is not a tour. There are no other passengers, no schedule to keep, no commentary from a headset. Just you, the cockpit, and the sky above Transylvania.

Two departure points. One experience.

Deva — LRDV Airfield

Western Transylvania, at the edge of the Carpathians. Ancient fortresses, river valleys, and the peaks of Retezat. Ideal for mountain flights.

Cluj-Napoca — LRCJ Airfield

Central Transylvania, close to the city. Perfect for guests arriving into Cluj. Scenic valleys, rolling hills, and the character of the region from above.

Your departure point is confirmed when we plan your day together.

FAQs

Who is this experience designed for?

People who are curious about how real decisions are made when they truly matter. Founders, executives, entrepreneurs, and thoughtful travelers often connect most deeply with the experience — not because of the adrenaline, but because of the mindset behind real airmanship.

Is this primarily about flying the aircraft?
Is this a sightseeing flight?
Do I need previous aviation experience?
Why only one guest at a time?

No. The mountains are extraordinary, but the experience is not built around tourism. Pilot for a Day is an immersive introduction to aviation thinking, decision-making, and the rare perspective that comes from spending a full day around a real aircraft and operational flying.

Because attention changes completely when there is no audience. The experience is intentionally designed as a private one-to-one day — allowing real conversation, genuine immersion, and a much deeper understanding of the aircraft, the environment, and every decision made throughout the day.

No. Flying is part of the experience, but the deeper layer is understanding how a pilot thinks — risk assessment, weather interpretation, situational awareness, and calm execution under changing conditions. Most guests leave remembering the mindset as much as the flight itself.

Not at all. The experience is designed for thoughtful, curious people — not aviation professionals. Everything unfolds progressively and safely, with the goal of helping you understand the principles behind real flight and real airmanship.

How long is the experience?

Plan for a full day. From the first coffee and weather briefing to the flight itself — and a final debrief over lunch together — the experience unfolds slowly and intentionally, without rushing from one checkpoint to the next.

What makes this different from any other flight experience?

Most people only ever see aviation from the passenger seat. Pilot for a Day offers something much rarer — you will actually take the controls of a real aircraft, fly over the Carpathians, and understand the thinking behind every decision made that day. The planning, the risk management, the discipline, the calm execution. That is what stays with you.
